Our goal at Get In The Game is to encourage the next generation to take action in their homes, schools, and communities to build a more diverse and equitable society. Ultimately, we want to empower GameChangers, to not only envision, but go out and create the world they want to live in. 

The conversations we start and the progress students make cannot stop when GameChangers leave the classroom. To ensure they receive ongoing support, we are developing an app called Equity Avenue. Equity Avenue will be an immersive digital experience that offers our GameChangers a permanent home for their progress. The app will serve as a safe, online space for GameChangers to connect with each other, get more insight from experts, share progress on community campaigns, ask for feedback from their facilitators and peers, and highlight the moments that have led to changes for their friends, families, and communities – big or small. In the app, GameChangers will also be able to set goals, be recognized for their accomplishments, and unlock challenges through a digital badging system designed to help them continue their personal growth and encourage an ongoing commitment to creating change in their community.

The Equity Avenue app will allow our participants to connect not only with other GameChangers in their schools, but with GameChangers hundreds or even thousands of miles away. As we expand, the app will be the crucial link that keeps Get In the Game connected at the national level. Once GameChangers have completed Seasons 1 and 2, Equity Avenue will also serve as the “off ramp” that will keep them connected with their peers and will incentivize GameChangers to take the skills they’ve learned to their college campuses, workplaces, and beyond.
